8am - Departure to the Sacred Valley of the Incas (regular service only on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays). The tour includes a guided tour of the fortress of Ollantaytambo, a visit to the people of Chinchero and the traditional market town of Pisaq.

Day 3
Breakfast in hotel
Departure in the morning to the Salinas de Maras and the agricultural laboratory of Moray. The salt mines of Maras have been exploited by the Incas to supply salt to the whole empire. The terraces of Moray were used as agricultural laboratories, to see how to grow different types of corn. The tour continues with a visit to an alpaca fabric shop, where not only do we enjoy a typical lunch in the mountains of Peru, but also learn the secrets of the famous Cusco looms.

Day 4
Breakfast in hotel
Transfer to the station of Ollantaytambo to take the train bound for the town of Aguas Calientes, located at the foot of Machu Picchu. Travel by bus (20 minutes) to Machu Picchu entrance and take a guided tour through the city.

Exit south of Cusco, this time to visit the archaeological remains of Piquillacta, the famous Church of Andahuaylillas - known as the Sistine Chapel of America - and one of the great marvels of civil engineering: Tipon.

Start a morning walking through the streets of this ancient Inca city. At each step, the excitement that emanates Cusco catch you. Short walk to the Cathedral and the Church of Santo Sunday, strolling around the square and almost without realizing it your feet are treading cobbled streets up to the Church of San Blas (2 1/2h.)
Ruins of Cusco
Discover the ruins of Qenko, Puca Pucara, Tambomachay Sacsayhuaman Fortress (most important ceremonial center of the capital of Inca Empire). The large size of the stones used in its construction and the surrounding landscape is stunning (2h.)
Ruins of Pisaq
Located at the top of the hill called Intihuatana. These ruins are a complex ceremonial center stone from which it has an impressive view of the Sacred Valley, terraces and temples of worship as well as a sundial. The accuracy with which the stones of this old building was built, assembled and cut it filled with wonder (4h).
Indian Market of Pisaq (Tue, Thurs, Sun)
An abundance of color and wonders will be before your eyes, where you will have the opportunity to see and buy the most varied handicrafts and jewellery around Cuzco (4h.)
Indian Market of Chincheros
Sunday Market, originally dedicated to the exchange of products between the communities of the valley and the highlands. Today the market is truly a spectacle of color and movement that causes the fascination of tourists with its range of handicrafts and textile garments to the most elaborate pre-Columbian style (4h.)
Piquillacta and Andahuaylillas
East of the city of Cusco is the old town of Piquillacta. It was one of the most impressive regional centers of the Wari culture, culture grounded in Ayacucho, which was absorbed by the Incas. From there continue to Andahuaylillas, here you will find the "Sistine Chapel of America", a church that is home to golden altars, paintings and various colored roofs (4h.)
Machu Picchu
This impressive and colossal citadel is one of the most important tourist attractions of Cusco. Hidden for 400 years in the mountains and tropical jungle, it was discovered in 1911 by the American explorer Hiram Bingham. We start the morning by train to reach it. Machu Picchu, the center of worship and astronomical observation in both the private sanctuary of the Inca Pachacutec, consists of two main areas, an agricultural and urban, where there is the temples, squares and royal tombs built with exquisite perfection (L) (12h.)
Indian Market of Pisaq y Fort of Ollantaytambo
Trips to the fertile countryside to arrive at the colonial village of Pisac (Tu, Th, Su). An abundance of colorful and wonders will be before your eyes, where you will have the opportunity to see and buy the most varied handicrafts and jewellery around Cusco. After lunch, our tour continues to Ollantaytambo, an ancient Inca fortress composed of numerous temples and terraces that rise majestically over the valley (L) (9h.)
Chincheros and weaving display, Ruins of Pisac and Fort of Ollantaytambo
We visit the community and people of Chinchero and in particular Nilda Alvarez. Nilda learned small weaving while tending to his flock in the fields. As a teenager he worked with researchers to preserve the traditional motifs and techniques of weaving in the Andean community. When he was an adult Nilda traveled frequently to the USA for exhibitions and workshops in weaving and several universities in the Textile Museum in Washington DC. Nilda offers a multifaceted perspective on the arts.. She will be happy to lead a fascinating workshop on the techniques of weaving and the role of contemporary Andean culture. Nilda is the founder and director of the Centre for Traditional Textiles of Cusco. This organization is dedicated to the preservation of textile design and techniques for all the ancient Andes. Some designs are more than 2000 years old. After we visiting the ruins of Pisac and Ollantaytambo fortress (9h)
Indian Market of Chincheros y Fort of Ollantaytambo
We start heading toward Chincheros. For lunch we drive to Yucay, then continue the tour through to the Sacred Valley of the Incas, Urubamba, and visit the Inca fortress at Ollantaytambo in the afternoon (L) (9h.)
Salts of Maras, Andenes of Moray and Quechua Community
Pozas white and shiny, from an underground stream and exposed to the sun to evaporate, the impressive salt mines of Maras are a unique spectacle to start the day. The trip continues to learn the customs and lifestyle of an authentic Quechua village. The Incas, Quechua noble origin of the Inca empire, still have their place in this unique traditions perpetuated to this day.
