Come and experience culture bonding with unique ethnic groups in the breathtaking jungle.
Day 1: We travel from La Ceiba – Brus Laguna –Kuri Leaving at first morning light from your hotel in La Ceiba to the airport to board a flight towards Brus Laguna. Then when we arrive we take our transfer by land up to Brus Lagoon to a “Tuc Tuc" (what the miskitos call a canoe with a motor engine), this mode of transport will carry us across the lagoon until we reach Kuri. On our journey we shall enjoy the scenery and birds that accompany us through out our way. Once we get Kuri we rest a while until the afternoon when we ride a 4 x 4 vehicle that transits over the strip of land that divides the Ebans Lagoon from the Atlantic Ocean. Passing through various communities: Playita, Kuri, Belen, Raista and others, at this places we can still have a cold beer, later we head back towards Kuri to dine. An optional activity is to go crocodile watching during a nocturnal visit at the aquatic canals.
Day 2: This morning we board the "Tuc Tuc" that will take us up to Rio Platano taking a few stops to enjoy the scenery and birds and others surprises that we'll find on our way until we reach a community of Pech + Miskito Indians. Here we lodge tonight.
Day 3: Today we hike our way through the lush jungle guided expertly by Miskito and Pech guides. This afternoon we will go around Las Marias community and bond with it members both Miskito and Pech people. Here we see how they live, study their cultures, bask in their hospitality, listening to the myths and mysterious legends, as well as their unique beliefs, we dine and rest.
Day 4: We rise very early this morning and take a short hike upriver and then we board a "Pipante" (Indigenous Canoe) that carry us to the Petroglyphs (Primitive Carvings on the rocks) , our Pipante is rafted expertly throughout the rapids within the Rio Platano of our Miskito and Pech crew. As we travel deeper into the jungle , we take a break before we continue on our way by hiking the virgin jungle to then meet up with our "Pipante" to take a cold lunch while our crew rest .We continue on to take photos and closely see the petroglyphs, going downriver toward "Las Marias" to dine and rest.
Day 5: We depart Las Marias after our breakfast, we say farewell to these hospitable people that have had a very important impact in our journey making this experience unforgettable. We board a "Tuc Tuc" once more bringing us downriver towards Kuri where we shall spend our last nights, enjoying a cold beer and taking the afternoon off.
Day 6: Very early we take our "Tuc Tuc" that will transport us trough the Lagoon until we arrive at the airstrip to board our plane back to La Ceiba.
