DAY 1: Arica
Transfer from airport to hotel. An afternoon city tour will take visitors to San Marcos church and the old Customs building, both built by French architect Eiffel. Visit to the city centre to experience its daily life. Trip to the top of Morro, an important location during the Pacific War. Visit to Azapa valley. Transfer to hotel.
DAY 2: Arica – Putre
Departure from Arica. While on Lluta valley, ancient silhouettes of llamas and humans can be distinguished on the hillsides. Visit to the Church and Cemetery of Poconchile, the Pukara de Copaquilla (a pre-Hispanic fort) and the interesting Candelabro cacti, a giant, native species. Arrival at Socoroma, where guatia (local delight) will be served. Visit to Putre, an Aymara community. Dinner and accommodation at Hotel de Putre.
DAY 3: Putre – Lauca National Park – Arica
Departure from the hotel to Lauca National Park, a true paradise for native birds. Here visitors will be able to observe part of the native wildlife which includes flamengoes, llamas and vizcachas. The highest lake in the world, Chungara, is located in the Biosphere reserve, inside the Lauca National Park. Visit to 6000 metres volcanoes Pomerape and Parinacota, whose magic image is reflected on the calm waters of Chungara. Visit to Chucuyo, an authentic Aymara community whose primary activity is llama and alpaca breeding. Afternoon return to Arica.
DAY 4: Arica
Transfer to airport to board your next flight.
