8 Day Pantanal, Bonito & Iguazu
 

8 days / 7 nights.

3 nights, Pantanal – 2 nights, Bonito – 2 nights, Foz do Iguassu

This program has three different types of water: waters from Pantanal, dark and brackish; waters of Bonito, transparents; and turbulent waters from Foz do Iguassu. Come visit is!

Day 1. Campo Grande – Pantanal.
 
Arrival in Campo Grande, where assistance is waiting for you with name board, and transfer to your Hotel or Pousada, situated in the Pantanal. Arrival and check-in. During your stay the following tours will be scheduled at the pousada; Nature walks, horse back rides, boat rides, canoe trips, ecological safari´s and night tours by 4x4 or boat, depending the weather conditions. All tours are guide, young guides bi-lingual in English and Portuguese and trained in the fauna and flora of the Pantanal. 

The trips mentioned above are scheduled at the pousada. The trips will be carefully selected, depending the climate and time of the year and will be guided by local guides that know all about the flora and fauna that make this place unique. During your stay in the pantanal all meals and excursions are included. Overnight. 


Day 4. Pantanal – Bodoquena – Bonito

After breakfast we leave the Pantanal behind when we head for Bodoquena, where we will visit Boca da Onça Ecotour. Here a safe trail leads you through the jungle about 2.8km, with magnificient scenes on every step you take. You will see hundred-years-old trees and 12 waterfalls, including the highest of the State of South Mato Grosso, the Cachoeira Boca da Onça (Jaguars mouth waterfall) with a height of 156m. There are several stops for a refreshing dip at natural swimming pools with a massage, offered by the waterfalls, which the Indians already enjoyed. lunch is included and back at the reception you can take a rest or use the swimmingpools with hydro-massage and real typical fish of this region. At the end of the afternoon we continue the trip to Bonito. Arrival and check-in at the Hotel or Pousada . You will have time for a refreshing shower. Evening at leisure. 


Day 5. Bonito

After breakfast, visit to the Gruta do Lago Azul. (Blue Lake Cave),The trail will start with a 10 minutes walk to the cave, then, after descending 100 meters, you will see the lake with crystal clear water. The depth is 72 meters and in the morning when the sunbeams hit the lake, the water will have an intense blue color. In the afternoon visit to Rio da Prata, lunch is included will be served here incl.). After lunch start of the snorkeling tour. Our dive begins at the East of Olho D água River. The access to there is by an agreeable stroll through the interpretative trail in the Da Prata ciliary rivers forest. In this course you will find the rich flora and if you are a little bit lucky maybe you can see others wild animals as the mutum, the udu, the nail-monkey, the cutia and the queixada. Walks through rustic trails for more than 1.6 mile. Very transparent waters, rich aquatic fauna and flora. Overnight at Hotel or Pousada. 


Day 6. - Bonito - Foz do Iguassu.
After breakfast departure to Foz do Iguaçu (approx. 10 hours). After arrival in Foz do Iguassu in the late afternoon check in at your Hotel or Pousada, situated in Foz do Iguassu. Rest of the night at leisure. Overnight. 


Day 7. - Foz do Iguassu

After breakfast your guide will pick you up at the hotel for a Half Day tour to the Brazilian side of the magnificient Iguassu Falls. Following the walkways that border the canyon of the Iguassu River, it is possible to observe hundreds of small waterfalls until where the last fall Floriano Falls is reached. There you will have a complete frontal view of Devils Throat. In the afternoon a visit to the Argentinean side of the falls, getting in Argentina through the Tancredo Neves bridge, built on the Iguassu River. Trails through the 55.500 hectares reserve (30 km far from the Hotel) provide the pleasure of a different, more complete view of the falls, specially the biggest one, the Devils Throat. Lower and upper walkways permit a closer look at the waterfalls. Return to the Hotel or Pousada the late afternoon, the rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight. 

Day 8. Foz do Iguassu

Depending your domestic flight, transfer to the airport of Foz do Iguassu. 

Package includes: 


• Overnight in SGL/DBL/TRP rooms in Hotel or Pousadas mentioned; 
• Private transfers mentioned in air-conditioned vehicle with driver (available in the evening in Bonito); 
• Excursions as mentioned;
• English speaking guide full time in the pantanal and during excursions in Bonito.

What to bring:

Light weight pants, jeans, T-shirts, long sleeved shirts, shorts, bathing suit, extra socks and underwear, sandals, good walking and/or old tennis shoes, windbreaker/light rainjacket, sun hat, flash light, sun screen, insect repellent, binoculars, camera, film, extra batteries. Sweatshirt or sweater recommended from June to September.
