In addition to the beautiful sights of the Salta and Jujuy areas, you will see a mountain covered by subtropical forests at Tafi del Valle, the archeological park Los Menhires, and visit the Quilmes ruins. You will visit the wine town of Cafayete and the spectacular rock formations of Los Concha

Day 1

Arrival in Tucuman, then transfer to your hotel. Evening tour of the city.

Day 2

Departure for the Andean valleys by private car. After crossing the mountainous subtropical forests, we will arrive in Tafi del Vale, visiting the mysterious, archeologically significant park of Los Menhires. The tour continues to the Calchaqui Valleys for sightseeing around the Quilmes ruins, a complex urban settlement formerly inhabited by the Inca civilization. Continue on to Cafayate, internationally recognized for its superb wineries as well artisans. Lunch and transfer to hotel.

Day 3

Morning departure to Salta by way of routes passing through the spectacular rock formations of Las Conchas gorge. Midday arrival in Salta for lunch and a tour of this beautiful colonial-style village. Evening return to hotel.

Day 4

Full-day excursion to 18th-century settlement of Cachi. Tour passes through mountainous, varied landscape, crossing the cactus-covered Tin Tin plateau, with views of the snow-covered Cachi Mountains. Arrival in Cachi, where we will tour this colonial-style village and its archeological museums. Lunch, then return to Salta in the afternoon. Transfer to hotel.

Day 5

Tour of nearby San Salvador de Jujuy for sightseeing of historically significant colonial artifacts. Full-day visit to the famous and picturesque Quebrada de Humahuaca (Humahuaca Gorge). Stop off at Indian villages such as Purmamarca, home of the polychromatic Cerro de los Siete Colores (Hill of Seven Colors). Continue onto the picturesque villages of Uqia and Humahuaca, where we will tour the cobbled streets and adobe houses of the Quechua peoples. A return to Salta will take us through the artists’ colony of Tilcara, popularized by its many museums, breathtaking vistas and surrounding hills for hiking and trekking. Lunch included. Evening return to the hotel.

Day 6

Relax and tour at your leisure through Salta.

Day 7

Transfer to the airport.
