Day 1

Take the overnight flight to Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Day 2

Arrive in Buenos Aires, and transfer to your hotel. Afternoon city tour of Buenos Aires, an impressive city that combines the atmosphere of an old European town with the features of a Latin American capital. In this tour, you will acquire a deep understanding of its characteristics, its history, its architecture, its culture and its best stories. We will visit the center of the city, San Telmo, La Boca, Puerto Madero and Palermo, with stops in Plaza de Mayo, Caminito and La Recoleta. Note: check-in is normally after 2 pm. Early check-in may be granted subject to availability (not confirmed).

Day 3

Fiesta Gaucha
Full-day excursion to an estancia for a typical barbeque lunch and a folklore/gaucho show. Here we will learn about the customs of the Argentinean gauchos and their abilities on horseback that will leave you breathless. The meat will be cooked a lo gaucho outdoors on the barbeque. Lunch and drinks included. Afternoon return to Buenos Aires. Duration: 6 hours. Operates every day except Tuesday.

Day 4

Day at leisure in Buenos Aires Evening tango show
At night, you will see an unforgettable tango show performed by the best dancers and singers while enjoying a delicious meal at Esquina Carlos Gardel. This world-famous tango show features the glamour of the 1930s in a romantic and intimate setting. This is the perfect way to leave Buenos Aires, the city of tango. Three-course dinner and Argentinean wine included.

Day 5

Morning, transfer to the airport to take the flight to Puerto Iguazu. Reception at Puerto Iguazu airport and transfer to your hotel. Afternoon at leisure or choose from optional tours below. Afternoon optional tour to the Brazilian side of the falls (additional charge per person; visa is required for American and Canadian citizens).

Day 6

Morning guided tour to the Argentinean side of the waterfalls. Pick-up at your hotel and transfer to visitor center inside Iguazu National Park. To get from the visitor center to the beginning of upper path, lower path and Devil's Throat, you will aboard a little train that runs from the visitor center to the paths and between each one of them. You may also walk from the visitor center to upper and lower paths, but you cannot walk to Devil's Throat because it is located more than 4 kilometers from the visitor center.

Great Adventure
This tour combines a jungle trip with a boat trip to the falls. Trip starts in the jungle of the National Park in 4 by 4 trucks without roof for best visibility of the trees and to take good photos. Then we take a zodiac boat to the lower Iguazu River upstream to discover the falls little by little with a panoramic view of the Iguazu Falls. Be prepared to get wet under the falls! Afternoon return to your hotel. Note: this boat tour involves some light trekking and climbing of steep stairs. You need to be in reasonably good shape since it can become somewhat strenuous. Please ask your travel consultant about this.

Day 7

Transfer to the airport to take flight back to Buenos Aires and connect with the flight to Bariloche. Upon arrival in Bariloche airport, you will be transferred to your hotel. Afternoon free to enjoy Bariloche and its fabulous views of the Andes across the blue waters of Lake Nahuel Huapi. Bariloche and its surrounding area feature evergreen forests, snow-capped peaks, deep blue or transparent green lakes, spring flowers and alpine architecture.

Day 8

Departure to Puerto Pańuelo to embark and sail up to Puerto Cántaros at Lake Nahuel Huapi’s west extremity. Upon arrival, we will hike up to Cántaros Lake through a beautiful Valdivian forest, seeing the different Cántaros Cascade waterfalls. We will then embark again to cross Blest Arm and descend at Puerto Blest, where we will have lunch and visit the National Park Interpretation Center. We will then take the excursion to the amazing Frias Lake. Return to Puerto Pańuelo and transfer to your hotel.

Day 9

Tansfer to the airport to catch your flight to El Calafate. Upon Arrival, transfer your hotel.

Day 10

Overland trip to Perito Moreno Glacier, one of the world's largest active continental glaciers, declared Universal Mankind's Heritage Site by UNESCO because of its breathtaking beauty and unusual behavior. A boat excursion to the face of the glacier is included to get an up-close and personal perspective of this immense gift from Mother Nature.

Optional mini-trekking excursion for outdoor enthusiasts (at additional cost).

Day 11

Departure from the hotel toward Puerto Bandera, 50 kilometers (31 miles) away from the town, to board a catamaran to enjoy a full-day lake excursion to Upsala Glacier and Onelli Bay, cruising among hundreds of icebergs that have broken off the glaciers. Upsala is the largest continental glacier in the Southern Hemisphere. The height of its walls varies between 60 and 80 meters (196 to 262 feet), and it has an area of 595 square kilometers (229 square miles). Return to Calafate.

Day 12

Transfer to the bus station to take the bus to Chaltén. Upon arrival in Chaltén, transfer to the bus terminal to take the bus to the hosteria.

Day 13

Full-day private trek to Laguna de los Tres. From Chaltén, going upward by a hill and having Fitz Roy Hill at our side, we start walking up to Capri Lagoon. There we take a winding road for around 90 minutes. The lake is a beautiful spot full of color and varied bird fauna. If the weather allows it, you can see the Chaltén mountain chain. From Capri Lagoon, we go back to the path and toward the Fitz Roy base, crossing various small streams. The landscape becomes greener, and the mountain vegetation shows its majestic landscape; from time to time, the sound of a cascade becomes the background in this spectacular path. Ninety minutes from the Rio Blanco camp, we will find Laguna de los Tres, which is nearest the impressive hill, the Fitz Roy, which you can reach by walking without any special equipment. Box lunch is included. We return to the Hosteria El Pilar, where we will stay an additional night.

Day 14

Morning guided trek to Tower Lagoon. The hike is uphill and will take about three hours until we reach Tower Lagoon, a spectacular and relaxing place. Box lunch is included. We will return to Chaltén to catch the bus to Calafate. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel in Calafate.

Day 15

Transfer to airport to take the flight back to Buenos Aires and the catch your flight back home.
