Day 1
Fly from Sydney to Santiago. Overnight in Santiago.
Day 2
Fly Santiago to Quito.
Day 3
In the morning you will be transferred through to the airport for your flight through to the Kapawi Lodge for a 5 Day fully inclusive trip.
Day 4
Today you will be flown from the Kapawi Lodge through to Quito. You will be met at the airport and transferred through to your hotel.
Day 5
In the mid morning you will be met at your Quito Hotel and transferred through to the airport for your flight through to Cusco.
Reception at Cusco airport & transfer to your hotel.
In the afternoon you will take a short private city tour of Cusco.
Overnight Cusco.
Cusco and Machu Picchu

Day 6
Day is free to relax and explore Cusco. (B)
Day 7
Full day tour to the Sacred Valley. Enjoy a visit to Pisaq and its colourful Indian Market.
After lunch continue to Ollantaytambo, the oldest continuously occupied settlement in the Americas & discover it’s ancient Inca design & original water canals providing the whole town with the sacred waters of the glaciers.

Day 8
After your specially prepared breakfast you will go for a private day tour of the local area. Visit the local village of Maras which was an important centre during the colonisation of Peru. The church is famous as it preserves the family shields of the local indigenous tribes.
Also you can visit the Salt mines known as “Salinas”. The practice of mining salt is as old as the Tahuantinsuyo area which means the 4 states which joined the 4 main Incan Tribes, dating back to the 1200 AD.
The evening is free to relax. (B,L,D)
Day 9 Two Day Inca Trail
Today you will be met at your lodge and transferred through to the Train station. You will board that train and travel through to the start of the 2 Day Inca Trail.
Overnight is at the Machu Picchu Pueblo.
Day 10
Today you will rise early and go for a day tour to Machu Picchu to explore the ruins.
Lunch is served at the Sanctuary Lodge, the only hotel inside the ruins national park.
In the afternoon you will take the train from Aguas Calientes to Cusco.
Overnight is at the Casa Andina Private Collection Hotel. (B,L)
Day 11
Transfer to Cusco airport in the afternoon for your overnight flight through to Buenos Aires. (B)
Buenos Aires

Buenos Aires, home of the seductive tango, has a strong European influence with a hint of South American flavour. This cosmopolitan city overflows with impeccable style. Its grand avenues offer treasure-filled antique shops, colourful tin houses and a diverse range of elegant bars and restaurants.

Day 12
Private transfer from International airport to hotel. Overnight in Buenos Aires.
Day 13
Morning City Tour visiting the beautiful parks & gardens of Palermo, the charming old city quarter of San Telmo, historic Government House, Congress Building and the famous Recoleta Cemetery - final resting place of Evita.
Tonight is New Years Eve. Enjoy the celebrations in South Americas European Styled city.
Overnight Buenos Aires
Day 14
The day is free to explore the city. Buenos Aires has so many little side streets with delightful cafes and bars to discover. Famous for its antiques you can lose your self in the various European style shopping districts. Or you could catch a Boca Juniors or Rio Plata football match. With so much to do you will not want to leave.
This evening you will go to see a Tango show. After dinner the world-class performers will captivate you with their intricate dance steps.
Day 15
In the morning you will be transferred through to the airport for your flight to Iguazu Falls.
Upon arrival on the Argentinean side of Iguazu Falls following your flight you will be transferred to your Hotel for the night.
Today you are free to explore the Argentinean side of the falls. The highlight of the day will be the boat ride up into the Iguazu Falls.
Day 16
Early departure for a half day visit to the Brazilian side of Iguazu Falls (Foz de Iguazu) which boasts the best overall views of this breathtaking natural wonder. In the afternoon you will be transferred through to the airport for your flight to Buenos Aires then onto Santiago.
You will stay at the airport hotel at Santiago Airport tonight.
Day 17
Early Morning flight from Santiago to Atacama.
Explora en Atacama:
You will be met at the airport by the team from Explora and taken for the next 5 Days. All meals and activities are included.
Day 22
You will be transferred through to the airport for your flight to Santiago. Due to the connection arriving at 8:20pm and early flight the next day.
Day 23
Early Morning Flight to Punta Arenas where you will be met and transferred through to your hotel at Puerto Natales. The rest of the day is free to relax.
This is a good rest day for you which will be needed as you will want to pack your day full of as many activities as you can in Patagonia.
Day 24 Explora en Patagonia:
For the next 5 days you will be free to explore the Torres del Paine National Park. You will be met at your hotel by explorer in the morning and everything will be taken care of thereafter.
Day 29 Argentine Patagonia:
Today you will be transferred through to El Chalten on the Argentinean side of the mountains for 5 Days exploring the mountains and glaciers of this incredible part of Argentine Patagonia.
Day 34
Mid morning transfer from your hotel to the Airport for your flight up to Rio de Janeiro.
Rio de Janeiro
4 DAYS/3 NIGHTS
Rio de Janeiro is arguably the most beautiful city in the world. This marvellous city moves to its own energy and beat, fuelled by its thriving beach life and warm climate.

Day 35
Full day city tour of Rio de Janeiro. Pass the world famous Copacabana and Ipanema beaches which attract an endless array of locals & visitors alike with their allure of sun, sand and an insight into the true Carioca lifestyle. Take a tram through semi-tropical rainforest up to Christ the Redeemer and experience the spectacular views of Rio de Janeiro.
Travel to the top by cable car enjoying the 360 degree view of Rio & its famous beaches before returning to your hotel.
Evening free - We suggest you have a meal at the Garota de Ipanema bar (The Girl from Ipanema Bar) tonight where the famous song was written by Vinicius de Moraes and Tom Jobim. (B).

We suggest that you take an afternoon walk along Copacabana Beach and up to the incredible Copacabana Fort which was built on the eve of WW1. Relax in the café and enjoy the view of the beach.
The morning is free to relax.

Afternoon transfer to Buzios for 3 days of relaxation. (B)
We suggest the Pousada Casas Brancas. It is known as the best in the region.
Day 38
Fly Santiago back to Sydney
